Coming out of McDonald County’s 2017 football season, the team has a standing record of 5 and 5, almost doubling the amount of wins in the previous four seasons combined, and they’re getting stronger every day.

McDonald County is equipped with an excellent, seven man coaching staff that dedicate their time and energy into producing an awesome team. Effort and hard work really pays off, this was proved at last Friday’s jamboree when the Mustangs were able to take down both Mount Vernon and Bolivar, preparing them even more for what’s to come.

On Friday, August 24th, the Mustangs will make the trip to Marshfield, MO for the first official season kickoff. The nearly two hour drive is well worth it when it means getting to see determination come alive right in front of you. Speaking with any coach, or player, you can really feel the love that they have for the game, and that is what fuels the excitement for our community and school.

We, at the Chamber of Commerce, couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night, and even if you can’t make it, make sure that the team is sent off in good spirits and be hopeful to welcome them home with their first win of the season.
