Freeman Ambulance Service provides paramedic level emergency medical services to all of McDonald County from two stations located in Anderson and Noel.
Freeman EMTs, paramedics and registered nurses have extensive backgrounds in all facets of emergency medical care through various training programs. Freeman Ambulance staff members also have experience ranging from the cardiac catheterization lab to flight nursing to federal level search / rescue and fire fighting.
Specialized ambulances, especially designed and built for use in McDonald County are used to meet the needs of the rural setting and provide comfortable service for the 60,000 miles plus each ambulance spends on the road each year.
Patients are routinely transported from McDonald County to seven different hospitals in the tri-state area based on patient preference and the services various hospitals offer. A special emphasis is made by all staff to ensure the needs of the patient can be satisfied by the receiving hospital using Missouri’s Time Critical Diagnosis program which specifies the best care for cardiac events, strokes and trauma patients.
