The purpose of the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce is to serve our members as the voice of the business community; to promote planned economic growth; to foster community interaction and provide information, leadership and support in the McDonald County business community.


McDonald County is all about local businesses delivering an experience not just a product. Our businesses in the McDonald County area are friendly and responsive striving to meet the challenges of a growing community. An annual business expo is held at the McDonald County High School.

The rivers and streams in the Ozark’s offer some of the most fun and most scenic outdoor adventures in the Show-Me State. From leisurely float trips to an adventurous rafting trip, there’s a river trip for everyone’s experience level. Floats ranging from an hour to several days are out there, so put on your life jacket and get on the water for a float trip, McDonald County style.

A great Place to Live

McDonald County, located in the southwestern corner of Missouri has a population of 22,763. The County Seat is Pineville. The county was organized in 1849 and named for Sergeant Alexander McDonald, a soldier in the American Revolutionary War. The county has three sites on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Old McDonald County Courthouse and the Powell Bridge.

McDonald County has achieved official designation as a Certified Work Ready Community, and is now certified in offering high-speed fiber access to Pineville, Anderson, and surrounding areas.
